MY FIRST STORY (2000:01:08)

Many people had heard about this temple and its inception in 1990 and had started to gather here in large numbers. On this spiritual path, I was learning a lot from the cases that I did whilst listening to people’s problems. I was communicating with a divine energy and was thus able to find solutions through an Inner voice that was providing me with the ability to solve at least 99% of the cases. People became happy and related their own experiences which are included in this book.

THE INCIDENT

A priest from Mauritius and a devotee approached me to buy land so that they could erect an Ashram. I was an estate agent at the time. The priest was quite astonished that I was using one half of my home as a temple and was serving mankind at no personal cost.

During our conversation the lady devotee said: “You do so much good work for the people and people are talking good things about you. You must give up the meat! Don’t watch TV, abstain from smoking and drinking ect.”

I was taken aback and really angry. Due to the fact that I suffered from Bipolar Disorder in the past, I reacted angrily, asking her to get out of my home. This was done in the presence of the Priest. She was shocked and tried to explain to me that she meant no harm. But I was seething with anger and I asked her to leave.

About an hour later, I found that I couldn’t rest, and my conscience bothered me that I could be so rude. As usual, I sought out the Divine (Swami) and asked Him to help me with the running of this temple. I asked: “Is meat eating right or wrong?” The answer I got was “Rose!”

I was confused, it sounded unreal to me and I started to wrestle with the credibility of my question and the response I received. So, I spoke to this voice and said that I didn’t understand what was meant. The response I received was: “Get your butt outside and look at the roses”.

And so, my journey to find the clues and answers began. I saw the different coloured roses in our garden. We had red, orange, yellow, white, pink and a velvety dark red. The voice was saying: “Any fool can see that”. And then I noticed the thorn on the white rose. It was big, whilst the other thorns were small. The same message was repeated: “Any fool can see that!” I asked Swami to please help me understand this message. He asked me to concentrate on colours, the red and white rose. The red rose had a small thorn and the white rose had a big thorn.

Whilst focusing on the red rose, I felt someone nudge my hand from behind and I felt a prick on my finger and a burning pain on my middle finger, which started to bleed. The voice of Swami asked me to press on the white thorn and I did. It did not hurt. I was still quite confused. But slowly Swami guided me to the meaning of this whole exercise.

The Red rose symbolizes Blood (meat) which signifies Anger. The White rose symbolizes Purity (Vegetarian) which signifies humility and peace. The red rose will bring pain and will lead to anger and the negative qualities. The white rose brings harmony, less pain, which leads to peace and love. Swami then asked me, to leave the red and white rose and to look at the pink rose. Pink arises from the mixture of the red and white. It was then, that I started to understand. The pink meant balance, like the white and red cells in the human body, like a balanced diet.

Swami concluded: “Don’t give up the meat, because the meat will give you up. Try and prevent meat eating but do not hurt!”

Swami’s message was: “The choice you make is the life you lead. What goes into the mouth is not the problem, what comes out and hurts people is a problem”. To interpret this clearly, Swami guided my thoughts to animals that eat meat (blood) e.g. the lions, tigers, dogs, etc. They conceive more babies and there is much pain. The animals that eat vegetation e.g. elephants, sheep, zebras, ect produce only one baby and there is less pain. So the question came back to me: “Was meat eating right or wrong?” I had to answer my own question. It was my choice. Brilliant is the Father, Sri Sathya Sai Baba!

This “hunger” has also seen a rejuvenating intellect and mental stimulation, as I the Guru, on a weekly basis, provides practical lessons interpreted by images from the Divine father; Swami, created into stories and messages. These weekly stories each relate to practical experiences and clearly show my own philosophical interpretation and creativity prompted by Swami’s imagery or “one-word” clues. This amazing ability to re-tell a message with such practical, realistic clarity, attracts a constant traffic of ardent believers and listeners, who in turn, in this book, has lent to the credulity of the lessons, by their own personal accounts and contributions.

At no time, do I encourage pretentious; I often state quite forthrightly that people do not need to religiously follow the dictates of society if it serves no purpose to their lives. But the “punch line” is based solely on serving, not hurting. “The hands that serve are holier than the lips that Pray!”

Nor do I prescribe practices such as abstaining from meat or fulfilling rituals that are impractical payments of money. My message is clearly defined….” Live your life with Humility, do not hurt, harm, gossip or envy another.”

I’m not God, I’m merely chosen as a Servant of Swami, our Father, chosen to do my work to Honour Him for all those that seek my Help!
