God is mysterious. It’s very hard to understand GOD, but easier to rather trust HIM blindly. GOD gives you what you deserve, not what you desire.
One day a man set out to do mountain climbing. He got his climbing gear, food pack, blankets etc. together and set off on his journey. Whilst climbing the mountain, about half way up, he had a mishap and his bag containing his food and blanket fell far below. He decided to continue climbing since he was already halfway up the mountain. He consoled himself that he could always come down later and eat. He managed to reach the top of the mountain. He was very excited about his achievement and sat there basking in his success. He didn’t notice that night was steadily creeping in.
Clouds started to cover the top of the mountain. He decided it was getting dark and it was time to return. He realised that descending on the ropes required less effort as compared to the climb. Whilst coming down however the peg broke off, and he was hanging helplessly on the rope as the night steadily crept in. He could not see in the engulfing darkness, and this was when he decided to call on GOD to help him in his plight. He begged GOD to reveal HIMSELF, and then GOD did appear! He heard the loud voice say: “Cut the Rope!” The man was stunned, thinking, how a merciful GOD could ask this of him as he hung onto the rope. He screamed again that GOD should help him. GOD appeared again and said once more in a loud voice: “Cut the rope!” Terribly upset and disappointed the man asked: “What kind of GOD are you?” There was no answer. The man just hung onto the rope for dear life. Without food, and in the blistering cold, he stubbornly held on, awaiting daylight.
The family of the man, highly concerned, sent a search party to find him. When they arrived they saw the man. He was dead but was still hanging onto the rope, just a mere half a meter from the ground!
Like I said… GOD is mysterious and we need to trust him blindly. As humans we are greedy. We want… want … want…! This will kill us. Only our needs will save us! To get to the top, is very tough. When we get to the top, the view is all we will have. Everything happens at the bottom!
The higher we go, the harder we fall! We need to live a humble life of contentment by trusting GOD and HIS decisions.

Too often in life we find ourselves hanging onto things that no longer n benefit us, afraid of the unknown and disregard the fact that our inner voice is actually God’s direction… Learning to let go is actually taking God’s hand to be led to something far better

Brilliant fable. So very often we get consumed by the rat race or life that we don’t see the darkness creeping in. To find the light to repel the darkness we need to trust God.
