Nature is wonderful and has become my best teacher! My daily routine every morning was to go outside, greet GOD, and thank HIM for a beautiful day. I also thanked the universe for giving us such wondrous pleasure to live on this beautiful planet.

On one particular day, I saw 2 birds sitting on a branch. The first bird had nothing in its beak but sat quietly, whilst the second bird had a loop shaped twig in its beak. The first bird, that was initially quiet, started to get aggressive, and started chirping at the one with the twig. As you may have gathered from my previous stories, I often have an inner voice. With great interest I observed these two birds.
With my keen sense of observation, I was able to distinguish the roles of these birds. The one with the twig appeared to be the male and the husband, and the other one, the wife. The husband, on getting his wife’s approval, placed the loop shaped twig at the end of the branch. They both then flew away.

At this point, I decided to go and busy myself with some work. About an hour later, I came back to see how the pair was faring. I saw one bird was busy flying to and fro, carrying loose grass. What an incredible sight it was to see the bird doing its weaving. I could see a nest slowly taking shape. This active homebuilding went on for a while. About halfway through the process, the other bird which was the wife, started chirping very aggressively towards her husband and then they flew off again.
Not long thereafter, the husband arrived and started to dismantle the unfinished nest. The wife then arrived and started her aggressive chirping. The husband, rather calmly, moved the loop shaped twig to another part of the branch. This procedure continued, as he started the nest building again. This time, there was no fighting between the pair. They were both patient and calm as they worked together. After a while, the wife flew away. The husband continued with his work but it was getting late, and soon he flew away too.
The next morning, I was curious to see what had happened to the home of my two new tenants. Surprisingly the nest was completed. I watched as the wife busied herself inside the nest, and after a while she flew away. The husband, who rightfully captured my interest and admiration, had gone off and now returned with some soft fluff to cushion the nest. The wife, rather protectively, hastened back to the nest and chased her husband away. She had, and remained quite forcefully in control of her home, whilst the husband had to stand guard nearby, protecting his partner.
A few days later, the wife laid her eggs and the aggressive behaviour started again. The husband flew away and returned with some worms in his beak. This really amused me because it looked like he was being reprimanded to go to the store for food. This strange unfair sharing of power continued with incessant squealing from the wife. However, there were times when the wife, also flew off as if she was going shopping, whilst the husband had the task of babysitting. What an amusing home this was! I was fascinated by the similarity of a normal human household, with spouses in common conflict about daily caregiving and sharing of tasks. Nature was so incredibly wondrous!
Such was the power of GOD. Creatures did not need to go to learning institutions but were so remarkably intelligent. Then it struck me with amazement that man is often viewed as the boss in a human household.

But in this story it was very clear….who the boss was!
