In life, man has taken everything for granted, and in the interim he has become lazy. He has become a bully. Man has become arrogant and consumed with monetary enrichment, believing that he can buy off anyone or anything.
On my journey through life, I was constantly conscious of an inner voice that warned me to be aware and alert.

My dog was in the late stage of pregnancy and one day I watched her rather unusual behaviour. She went out through our front gate and returned in a short while carrying a cement bag in her mouth. She then carefully left the cement bag at a certain spot and went out through the gate again. This time she brought in an orange sack, which she placed on top of the cement bag. She was clearly preparing a bed for the delivery. My curiosity got the better of me, and I made myself comfortable, so I could observe her behaviour. An amazing thing happened! She slept with her front paws on the sack and was clearly stretching herself with her hind legs. There was a little struggle and then out popped a ball of slime covering a newly born puppy. She licked off the slime and started to bite on the umbilical cord. Eventually she bit it off, and sucked on the chord attached to the puppy to stop the bleeding, whilst the extra piece of chord retreated into her body. She nudged the puppy with her nose to awaken her. The puppy cried but she left her alone.

A few minutes elapsed and she started pulling on the sack with her front paw, and stretched herself to go through the process again. Another pup was born. This birthing process continued until she delivered six puppies. She seemed exhausted and appeared somewhat sad. She lay very still. Her last delivery was a lifeless pup, which she possessively held between her two front paws. She sat for about ten minutes, and then took the lifeless pup, in her mouth to a corner of the yard. She returned and settled down by the other five pups to feed them. After feeding the pups, she went back to the lifeless pup in the corner, and then something unexpected happened…. She ate the dead pup!

What was incredibly mind-blowing was the fact that…
- She didn’t get aggressive towards me as I watched the birthing process. Normally dogs are highly protective of their young. I suppose she knew I was her master and that I was no threat to her.
- I wondered where the father of the pups were. It reminded me that fathers were generally absent during the delivery process.
What was so amazing about this creation of GOD was the fact that…
- she was her own gynaecologist (delivered her babies all by herself)
- she was her own pharmacist (sutured her umbilical cord without medication)
- she was her own cleaner (cleaned her pups after the birth)
- she was her own undertaker (took care of her deceased pup)
- she was her own dairy (provided her pups with the necessary nourishment)

It was then that I realised how spoilt we as humans are because we have money to take care of our needs and desires. We want the best medical care, comfort and pampering. Sadly those less fortunate are forced to seek care in a government facility. This incident was an amazing “wake up” call. How extraordinarily simple life can really be, but we have complicated it by our excessive “wants” and “desires.”
This is absolutely true. We take things for granted. Everything must be done for us. Using our initiative can make a tremendous difference in our lives. Take up the challenge and move forward. Thanks Guru
Nature is self sufficient, that’s why it’s called Mother Nature… We are spoilt, yet we arent always grateful for what we have, this is a wonderful reminder
As always, thank you Guru
That’s so true, an so sad how men and women old and young are driven by greed. I always wondered why can’t we live to help each other, be humble, live with love.
Hope we all can learn this important listen.
Om Sai Ram
Om sai ram guru hope you are well and happy and healthy. Thats very true. Life can be simple and happy. As human beings some people are not happy with how much they have been blessed with they just want more. Their greed is insatiable. The sad part is that they are so blind to their greed they feel its right instead of having blind faith in God and trust in him they run after unnecessary needs and desires. Take care 🙏
