Cultivate the seeds of LOVE in the deserted heart, and then love will sprout and make the air fragrant. Cultivate a closeness with GOD in the heart and it will always be rewarded.
There was an aging king who decided to hand over his kingdom to an honest person. It didn’t need to be anyone in particular. It could be handed over to his sons, members of his kingdom or servants, as he was a pleasant king and was well liked by everyone. He gathered everyone together and told them, that he was looking for a suitable successor to rule the kingdom. To his surprise, there were lots of people that wanted to rule the kingdom. He then decided to choose the right person to rule, by giving them a seed to plant. He gave them three months, in which time he wanted to see who took the best care of the plant. He said they needed to focus on its growth and how well the flowers bloomed. The chosen few agreed and went about their task.
Two months later, there was great excitement and talks amongst the people about the growth of their plants. Some said, their plant had grown quite huge, and some said their plant bore beautiful flowers. Others boasted that their plants had fruit buds. But there was one lad, who was indeed very disappointed. He said he had also planted the seed but nothing had happened. There was neither flower nor fruit! Whilst talking to his mother about the incidents in the palace, the boy grew very sad. His mother consoled and re-assured him to have patience that mother earth would make his plant grow.
The king gave them 3 months to fulfil the task. The lad continued watering it, as patiently as ever. The 3 month period was fast closing in and the boy still had nothing to show. The mother pacified the boy by telling him that he did what he could, and he did try his best. It’s better to try and fail, than fail to try!
All the others presented their projects to the king. There were beautiful flowers and a variety of big plants. But the young lad was embarrassed, as his plant never grew. People started to mock him. He could not leave, as it was the king’s orders to see everyone in his palace after 3 months. The time soon arrived to announce the new king. The king inspected each participant’s project and was quite impressed. The king then held the hand of the young lad and led him to his majestic chair. With great pride, he announced to the kingdom who their new king was, and as he crowned him, he said: “This is your new King!” The people began ranting and raving about the king’s choice and angrily shouted that the king was being unfair.
The king then said to the people: “I had given you all the same seeds, which was boiled, to plant. So to my understanding, nobody would have a growing plant from a boiled seed. And if it grew, then all the plants would have been the same. But you people have cheated and changed the seeds.”
Honesty always brings forth, the reward!

A very inspiring story Guru. We live in a world full of dishonesty and it is very hard to find loyal, honest people who you can trust and allow in your circle, sometimes we need to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and they need to prove that they belong I the circle of trust.
